In an inclusive meeting held by the president of the chamber, attended by acting minister of commerce and a number of factory owners and businessmen, lights were shed on the difficulties faced by the factories.
According to the ministeress, Kwestan Muhammad, the solutions would include: specifying an industrial zone, modifying the law so as to revive industry in Kurdistan Parliament, provision of adequate electricity and water supply, subsidized fuel and reduction of tax. She confirmed that similar actions will be taken in Erbil and Duhok. Besides, the local authorities will be stimulated to perform the instructions of her ministry.
The president of the chamber assured his solidarity with the ministry and other related departments of the regional government and the city governorate to show more solidarity to ease all the issues that jeopardize productivity and cause unemployment.
